Magic Fields

magicfieldsHere I am again, with the great Carpe Diem Haiku meme. As I can’t access my personal profiles in the Internet and use my own social profiles, it takes me some time to post. Yet, I always enjoy company. So, here it is:
Magic Fields – Prompt #277

Sunshine of clouds and storm
We stare in dismay.

Longing

I haven’t visited to write there for a long time, only to read. So, here I come again with a haiku for Carpe Diem’s #275 prompt – Longing For The Unknown

Alley in the Park

It is hard for me to stay out of the summer theme. Must be in the air, these days. It is sad that recently I have been hearing troublesome news from outside my country. In my country, we are constantly in trouble these days, and that is so awful that I am trying to avoid discussing it. Yet, what I have in mind are the court and legal proceedings news coming from the US and the travel accidents around the world, the latest one being the train accident in France, just a day before their National Holiday. And that is a national holiday which I think marks a pivotal point in the history of modern humankind. I mean, the beginning of the French Revolution put a start to new/modern life, society, values. As bloody and aweful as it must have been. On a personal note, I’m glad I don’t need to live in that kind of times, I truly am.

Thinking of all that, I am still going on with this July-poetry-thing that I planned and honestly, I’m glad to see that some of my friends take interest in this ‘challenge’ and I even read a poem written to one of my own prompts, and I loved it!

park-alley-jom14We are continuing on our July, Oh my! challenge with a prompt for the 14th day of the month: An Alley in the Park. Should I just toss in that it’s a haiku – it seems a long-way return to my favourite form.

Alley in the park
Hosts all seasons’ smells and tints.
Urban nature’s nook.

Emperor is Daddy

My good haiku friend, Kristjaan has been very persistent since last October when he first started the Carpe Diem meme. And I must say, I’m really glad he is doing it so well. I love to see so many poets sharing haiku on his prompts! After somewhat longish absence, here I come again. Oh, and by the way, he is holding a charming theme month, Tarot – especially dear to me, as I used to be so enthusiastic about Tarot in my late teenage. I still have the deck and the deciphering book, of course. Only, my hubby doesn’t encourage me to open either 😀 and I believe he is very right about insisting on that.

Fire, Post, Now

April Poetry Month #06

poetry_03

1. Haiku Heights – Fire

Not to break the bond
Sparks from welding torches.
Flame eclipsing sun.

2. Poetic Asides – Post

While posting this letter
remember to pass
by the stamps and envelopes’ kiosk
You know, the one just on the left
of the old confectioner’s shop
we frequented as children
every day after school

Remember to sit at the table
right in the middle of the shop
we somehow took it for ours
I know you preferred one at the window
Yet you always joined me
just smiling

Do not order anything
Sit for a while and then go
Post the letter and
Let go.

Weeping Cherry

Have you ever heard of a weeping cherry? I never have. Obviously, it exists. The most amazing thing about art is that you may write about anything, even if you only imagine it. No need for reality. At least, that much of reality. Of course, strictly speaking, we wouldn’t go far without a standing point 🙂

After a long absence from haiku, I am back. I hope this one is not too clumsy.

Blurred

I thought I’d post here what I created for today’s prompt at 28 to Create. I post my works in another blog this time, but I like today’s work very much.

I decided to take a couple of photos inspired by the prompt Blurred. When I went to post them, the media asked for a caption. So, unintentionally, I wrote a poetic one below. Then I checked and saw that it is a haiku.

So, today I have a photo haiku 🙂
