The Pool – The Peak, a Reverse Poem

Reverse Poem

After warming up those limbs in the sauna,
lying in a pool of mineral water,
still feeling the hot steam,
I cast a lazy eye at the mountain peaks
standing proud across the field.

Standing proud across the field,
I cast a lazy eye at the mountain peaks
still feeling the hot steam,
lying in a pool of mineral water
after warming up those limbs in the sauna.

This poetic piece was written in response to d’Verse Poets prompt from 16 August 2018. Just keeping up the game, nothing serious.

Render, funny verb

September Heights #08 Render

Marble peak high above

Its violent and stormy breath

Renders me alive

Not willing to know, Day 19

I know so much I hadn’t wished for

I know so much that I don’t need.

Does the sea complain

its water is more than it wishes for?

Do the mountains complain

they have rocks they don’t need?

I lie on the edge of the sea

I lie in the foot of the mountain

And I wish to be able to see.

Dear Mr. Rain, Day 17

NaPoWriMo, Day 17

Being Poetry – Rain – epistolary with particulars

Dear Mr. Rain,
how long until you hold your reins
and tie your whirls around the tides
below the ocean rocks where lies
your precious treasure?

You spill your thunders and your bolts
along the Chestnut boulevard
where oranges unbridled roll
and wallow in the shallow pools
unwanted and uncared for.

You splash all over our roof
and wash the house of its neglect
thus washing off its innocence
that rainy dryness had erect.

And then I stand and watch and muse
Just as I did some years ago
To see the tenderest abuse
You come, hurray
and off you go!

Haiku Heights – Wonder

2. Haiku Heights – Wonder

I wonder, silent

I am amazed and mute

At mountain grandeur
