Poetic Asides for Day 10 of April PAD / NaPoWriMo:
***
Never again
will be hard to define.
How many of those
got washed in the drain?
I hardly remember
when I last even tried
to believe
in the magic of never again.

Never again is a commonly used expression unfortunately.
Nice concise piece, Mariya. I see you do translation work,
I also do some here in Mexico, but only Spanish.
Pamela
Pamela – thank you very much! Yes, I translate for living. Mostly boring stuff, as you can imagine 🙂
Never again IS definitely hard to define sometime!
Mary – thank you! 🙂
Mariya, this is poignant and melancholy; a wonderful take on the PA prompt. Those “never agains” do start to pile up over the years, I suppose. But there are a few I have managed to stick to.
Mine is a bit sadder, I fear: http://sharplittlepencil.wordpress.com/2011/04/11/finale/

Amy – thanks a lot!
A succinct and very effective response to the prompt. Thank you for your comment on my mirror image poem.
vivienne – thank you very much!
I have quite a collection of recurring ‘never agains’…
Stan – haha, great! 🙂 Thanks for visiting!

andy – thank you for commenting!
So few words, so much meaning….a brilliant response to the prompt.
Gloria – thank you for your appreciation!
Many times I’ve said never again, only to do it again. You hit a universal! Well done.
