Poetic Asides gave “ode” for day 29, and “after leaving here” for the final day.
Ode to the Tears I’ll Cry After Leaving Here
Or, AKA Lacrimae rerum –
so silent and grave,
to eternity leading,
from infinity springing
and traversing the world;
Celebrating the welcomes
hostile of the earth,
The cold, loveless breath
of industrial mornings;
Triumphing over the colourful vanity
of painless existence;
Defeating the cynical snapping
of jaws craving hearts.
The tears I’ll cry after I leave
will erect their own temple
and memorial place
for all the leavings
I have
attempted, accomplished, or failed.

Lovely poem Mariya. Loved reading it.
“…The tears I’ll cry after I leave
will erect their own temple…”
I know I have left temples behind. Nice write.
Let’s hope that they are tears of happiness.
Cheers,
