Poetic Asides: “in the __ of __”; The Big Tent Poetry: “Kidnapping”
In the Middle of Kidnapping
The abductor paused, reflected shortly
Then he said, “What would you say
to join me for a coffee?”
And I retorted,
“We don’t negotiate with terrorists.”
He fell off, ROFL-ing
almost to hysteria
until we heard the fading
of the wedding bells.
