As I was sitting at my desk, working, my eyes repeatedly caught the closed blinds and noticed.

Parallel oblique of milky
white ecru
is sliding down towards
my bare feet.
I’ve stepped outside
a dream,
quite unprepared,
unawares and
unknowing what I can
expect
to see and touch.
Parallel obliqueness
waiting patiently for me
to close my eyes and
sleep again.
