NaPoWriMo, Day 9

Destiny brings to addiction
The sorrows you spill in a story
Or in those staggering songs
That dusk carries on
A heart is broken
Over a mate who’s buried
And marrow is frozen
Over destiny’s sorrows.

I very much liked them both!
Sand lying asleep
Wow! I like this image and your way of thought!!!
Your wordle poem is packed with imagery, loved it. And the first line of that haiku is just perfect, amazing job on both of them.
Great imagery in both!
I liked it ..beautiful..
lovely haiku ~ feel myself there at the beach ~thanks, namaste, ^_^
Your Wordle reminds me of my father…loosing his wife, my mother too soon. You have told his story. Yet alas he too after many additional years, has had his ashes spread into the gulf.
I too, like the idea that sand might sleep.
I loved reading both verses. Thank you for sharing. The haiku … is great and wonderfully composed.
I like the gulls echoing the waves ~
Love the idea of sleeping sand and gulls mimicking waves! Lovely seashore images!
Thanks to:
Madeleine – glad you enjoyed it!
Diana – living by the sea helps 🙂
Mary – thanks for the encouraging words!
Maxie – always happy to welcome a new visitor!
Ramesh – high esteem from a haiku master like you makes me not too little proud 🙂
Carol – happy to make you feel it
Jules – such sorrow is neverending.
Chevrefeuille – glad you liked them both
Grace – thank you!
Gemma – delighted that you enjoyed it!
I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to see someone using the correct verb! You write:
“Sand lying asleep”—which is completely correct.
Many people would have written: “Sand laying asleep”—which is a complete bastardization of the English language.
What a refreshing poet you are! Thank you!
“Six Takes on ‘Seashore’”
MMTeacher – you ARE the teacher to notice that! Thank you for your high appraisal 🙂 You know, English is not my mother tongue, nor do I live in an English-speaking country. (I hope I didn’t smite off the nice impression I had made by “lying” :-D)
And a great Thank You for the flattering “refreshing poet”-part! By far, this has been the dearest name I’ve been called (with regard to poetry)!
