I see it –
face in shop windows,
shadow dim,
silhouette,
questioning my sanity
wishing to see more

Poetic Blooms #48 – What’s in the Shadows?
Shadowy reflections of once-crazy dancers –
That’s what we are
As we pass by each other
Neither seeing, nor remembering
Our true selves reflected in the window –
Shadows
Dancing
More true than
The hollow shapes
Dissocializing and
Distancing
Away.

Carry On Tuesday #149 – “I have a little shadow”, the opening line from R.L.Stevenson’s My Shadow. And do you remember what a Triolet is?
***
I have a little shadow
It goes around with me
It makes me feel too hollow
I have a little shadow
It shudders like a sparrow
longing to be free
I have a little shadow
It goes around with me.

The Sunday Wordle #46:
The white shadow returned
Hungrier than ever
Craving for
The pretty fullness
Of the youngest daughter.
The daughter, though,
Prefers to stay in the metal
Box of her mom’s kitchen
And admonish her woolly doll
For the mess she made
Rather unaware of the coatless
Stalker before the door.
Which will not go away.
