Quadrille Poem – Vampire

a quadrille poem written on a prompt vampire

Hurrying through the ages of reason,
Considering the dark dreams of seasons,
Any creature will get tired.
But not a vampire!

Trying to see without gazing,
And catch without chasing,
Any life can be bored.
Except for cruelty’s sleek lord.
Time and time again.

  1. Cruelty does seem a constant just as you describe, and seems to never tire of seeking its victims. Love your use of rhythms and rhymes to drive home the point. (Just a note about using Mr. Linky so other poets can see your post as well. If you have any trouble with it, let me know. But all you need to do is click on the Mr. Linky icon at the bottom of the dVerse post, enter your name and link to this post.) Thanks for joining in!

    1. Dora, thanks for your kind words ?. As for Mr. Linky, oops, my fault, I completely forgot to do it. I will, shortly. Thanks again ??

  2. I really love the last stanza, the rhymes works so well, and you really see the lord of darkness coming up behind you.
