This year, I’m doing November Poem-A-Day Chapbook Challenge for the 9th time. My first round was in 2010, and I met wonderful people out there, plus I wrote some amazing poems. This time around, I have an idea for a chapbook, and I’ll try to write towards it. I’ll compile a chapbook called “Letters to My Younger Self”.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The prompt for Day 1 is Glorious Poem. Here’s mine:<\/strong><\/span>
\n~
\nHey, girl, you know that glory waits for you<\/em><\/span>
\nOutside.<\/em><\/span>
\nJust around the corner.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be a performer who everyone will love<\/em><\/span>
\nWho everyone will follow<\/em><\/span>
\nWho everyone will long to look like,<\/em><\/span>
\nFeel like,<\/em><\/span>
\nCharm like,<\/em><\/span>
\nBe loved like.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be a scientist – all students will admire you<\/em><\/span>
\nAll students and readers will do research on you<\/em><\/span>
\nAll other scientists will listen to.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Hey, girl, you\u2019ll be a star.<\/em><\/span>
\nKnow it!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
