November Poem-A-Day Challenge, Day 4 – a poem about finding something unexpected:<\/p>\n
*<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
I roamed in darkness desolate<\/strong><\/span> \n And thinking tones of heavy thoughts.<\/strong><\/span> \n I closed my eyes and there it was –<\/strong><\/span> \n a coin shimmered down the gorge.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
I blinked to see adventure there<\/strong><\/span> \n My eyes no longer shut<\/strong><\/span> \n And not a coin, but despair<\/strong><\/span> \n was streaming down my path.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Going up, then climbing down, \nJumping, and then ducking \nHopping, and then kneeling \nI bumped into a level out.<\/p>\n
***<\/p>\n
To find something unexpected and then lose it \nwill leave you wondering if \nit was ever there.<\/p>\n
***<\/p>\n
If the finder’s a keeper \nwill that then mean \nthe foundling’s yours?<\/p>\n
***<\/p>\n
If expectation forms possession, \nits lack may form some distance. \nAnd, finding something unexpected, \nis \ndiscovering your distance \nfrom your real possession.<\/p>\n
