What got you here?
I wish I knew.
It was just walking,
which turned to climbing
and then it was a sheer fall,
that may have been a flight
into this wintry cottage
of blooming peaches all around
where gold was falling to the ground
and turning into autumn leaves.
What got me here?
I wish I knew.

An intriguing poem with a sense of mystery! Behind Nature’s season of change, there seems to be some change or question in a relationship! Beautiful!
Gemma – thanks a lot for that comment!
Mariya, your poem is alive with that sense of beauty and mystery that is life. Good one shot!
Joanna – thanks a lot!
What got me here? An important question we all need to ask ourselves! 🙂
Margaret – exactly 😀 Thanks for visiting!
well i clicked on a link at 1SP…lol. i think as important is to ask what will get us there…its good to look back so we learn the answer…
brian – that’s amazing, in fact lol. Maybe not so many answers, as are the question… Is it worth asking them? Well, I wonder…
This really intriguing indeed, will be stopping by again!
Nicole – thanks a lot!
Beautiful natural imagery packed into relatively short lines. What i like best is after the first two lines I expected the poem to rhyme, and when I became reconciled with the fact that the piece wasn’t a rhyming poem, you turn around a drop the around/ground rhyme in there unexpectedly. That was very cool.
dustus – thanks a lot for the appreciation!
