small stone of the ninth

hm, it was an office that i saw. i looked at its freezing windows and my breath cut the air in two. pyramid climb – that was what it looked like to mend the a/c. a pile of chairs over a table, in other words.

Today, things are different:

“sleep, sleep, the unimaginable freedom it brings upon your memory and hardships; you close your eyes and there’s Hamlet there in front; i open them and freedom rolls its eyes before me, grinning green and grim.”

small stone for 7th Jan

Finally, my small stone will be a bit different:

“The train is packed with packets, bags, and people carrying, caressing pets, and talking smoothly of their days and lives, of their children, cars and recent flights. The highway blocked, no buses ride – so, train’s the only means of getting by.”

The pale face of the Moon

My brilliant poetic friend Miskmask wrote a brilliant small stone for today, 6th January. Here is my response:

I love the moon and its pale face
The risk of sun exposure
could put her skin to waste.

small stone for 6th Jan

Well, I must admit it was a whole different day today. My contribution to the River of Stones:

“Six-hours ride through a country so sundry. Snow equals scare, skidding on the road, beware. Tree tops heavy and large with their fresh white caps. Fields in fascinating fashion keep quite, lying under their shabby quilt of white dust and memories past.”

My small stone of 5th Jan

Hello there! Waving from the sunny coast with another small stone for the River of Stones.

“driving seems to be all-present these days. as does the sun. and the brilliance of the weather… hoping that will last some more days. thought i saw a blooming bush along the road. turned out to be something else. still, it feels like spring. oh, how i want spring to come…”

My small stone for 4th Jan

Let’s dive into the River of Stones for a fourth day.

“still sunny. hectic day along the track of bureaucracy. first, long face. then, despair. surrender missed me by a close call. yet, finally successful. at least to the extent of today. tomorrow is another day.”

Small stone for 3rd Jan

Yet, another sunny small stone in the River of Stones:

“Drove 100 km to and back. Field covered in snow, no crows, no traffic. Just the white glistening in the sun. Destination white and quiet. Warm rooms filled with people working away in peace. No students, no noise, no tension over exam grades. Just the warm heating inside the room. Just smiles and “Happy-New-Year-to-yous”.”

My small stone of 2 Jan.

Well, today is a totally different day from yesterday… River of Stones

“Sun shining bright. Today combined with warmth. Driving brought peace to my heart. My face still feels itchy from the high-factor sunscreen.”

My small stone of 1st Jan. 2012

OK, it is already 2012 and I am setting off on a River of Stones.

Before writing my small stone, I will wish each and every one of my blogging, writing, reading and loving friends joy, love, good luck, and a lot of success in the year 2012!

Here is the small stone:

“The sun caresses my eyelashes behind the window, but going out, I regret not putting on a hat. Further down the street, I start regretting not taking a thicker shawl. When on the children’s playground, I regret I went out in the first place.”
