OSI – Crimson
As I look at the poppies field
I wonder Crimson or Scarlet –
Deep or clear,
Intense or tense?
Beauty reign in colour.

OSI#213 Transition – Alouette
***
Transition best fits
Those willing to quit
Who move away from the dark.
It suddenly starts
As they fall apart
Blazing with beautiful spark.
Transition itself
Stays hardly on shelf
It often makes for the stars.
Those people remain
In fire and pain
Yet never live behind bars.

One Single Impression #210 – Underground
My take is Alouette
***
Distant echoes fade –
glinting dull of jade,
endless search for ground is on.
Forests here remain
helpless in their plain
destiny of living on.
Gritting teeth in quiet,
bringing up a riot,
monsters chase the ghosts around.
Summon mighty friends –
they will then remain
biting lips deep underground.

* MEMORY OF A GLASS HOUSE*
I remember a winter
in a house made of glass
naked, numb, stupefied
–
I remember yearning to go
and get lost in the snow
But how would you know?

OSI – Border:
***
Across the border
are the jaws of hatred
and of cold neglect.
Across the border
superstition sleeps
awaiting to ensnare
commoners.

Here are the prompts on which I acted: Sunday Scribblings – Messenger; One Single Impression – Epidemic; Poets United – Headlines; Theme Thursday – Face; We Write Poems – Almost a poem; Three Word Wednesday – Adamant-Fabricate-Peculiar
***
The messenger was adamant:
Those headlines had not been fabricated
And we were facing
A peculiar and epidemic poem,
Whose weirdest peculiarity
Was
That it was “almost a poem”.

This week, I decided to combine a few of the prompts.
***
Those hollow eyes
Are nearly there
Such vast horizons
Unlimited by uniforms.

** Sunday Scribblings – nearly; One Single Impression – hollow; Writer’s Island – unlimited; Poets United – uniforms.
Theme Thursday said “paper”; One Single Impression suggested “sarcastic”; Sunday Scribblings prompted “free”. A combination reads as follows:
*
A letter coming slow and late
Reading in a cold, sarcastic tone,
in fact, is license to be free.
