American Haiku – Moment, Day 5.3

The high wind
Gasps loud through the door
Twigs whirl in.

Recently, I haven’t been able to make up my mind whether I prefer to produce a haiku or an American haiku. So, here it is.

A New World – Day 1 of April PAD

This is the American haiku on Poetic Asides prompt, A New World

Balcony
peaceful this springtime –
a new world.

Warmth amazing, Day 13

Somewhat belated, yet my contributions for Day 13 of the Poetry month, along with its Poem-a-Day challenge are here:

1. Haiku Heights – Warmth

The wind howls

Like a wolf outside

Hearth warms heart.

2. Poetic Asides – Something  poem

Something stupid

You talk of engines
And of piston heads,
The turns they make,
How they rotate
And how all that
Transforms into a drive

While

I watch the movement of your lips
And listen to the murmur of you voice
It is a gentle stream that glides and slips
And then all that
Transforms into a dive.

Blue Haikus

Haiku Heights #111 – Blue This time I decided to offer two haikus – one “classic” and one American:

Bluebells ringing soft

My eyes will hear the whisper

Of the silent night.

At no haste.

Mirror on the lake.

Blue. Awake.

What if I
Had been so stupid
And let go?
